The scripture for today is Romans 8:16-17

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, so that we may be also glorified together.

The rewards awaiting the child of God are beyond description. God has promised that we will be joint-heirs with Christ. Jesus, as the Son who took on human flesh, deserves all that He receives. He lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins; but we have earned nothing. Nevertheless, God has chosen to lavish His love upon us to such an extent that we, who have been adopted into His royal family, are promised the same inheritance that Christ Himself would receive. Incredible!  A joint heir means that all of the heirs will receive an equal portion of the inheritance. What then is the inheritance that we receive? The inheritance that God gives is the kingdom of God. "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Matthew 25:34  As heirs of God, God promises that His children will inherit all of what God has. He represents His kingdom and the most valuable thing within His kingdom is God Himself. He is our inheritance. When a person dies, they may leave their heirs all that they had accumulated over their lifetime. God is infinite, without end and without limit. He does not "leave" things to His heirs because He does not die. He gives His heirs all that He is. They do not inherit what He leaves behind, they inherit Him, His kingdom, His qualities and attributes. Therefore, all of His children will have an infinite inheritance; an inheritance without end and without limit. It will be the life of God flowing through perfect bodies, and minds without the restraint of sinful conditioning. The life that we live down here cannot be compared with what God has prepared for those who love Him. As we keep our eyes on Christ, our perfect example, we will be led by His Spirit through the suffering of this world to the eternal blessings of the kingdom of heaven which He is preparing for those who stand fast in faith.  "And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Mark 13:13  "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Romans 8:18

God bless you as you continue in His service.
