Romans 15_13

August 31

Happy Friday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Instead of fretting over the daily doses of bad news, God desires that we embrace His promises and through faith in those promises be partakers of His divine nature. "By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4 Through faith in God's word and trusting in His promises, we become more like Him. The things that ruffle others do not generate fear or dread in the hearts of the faithful. Instead, through Christ, we have joy and peace and abound in hope. Joy and peace are the natural products of faith in Christ. We have not been called to merely live a natural existence, but to be a people who are supernaturally natural. That is what happens when we become partakers of the divine nature; we become empowered by the Holy Spirit. We have joy and peace because of the abundance of hope that the Holy Spirit imparts to our hearts. Our limitations are not limitations to the Holy Spirit and as we follow His leading, we "can do all things through Christ who gives us strength." Philippians 4:13

Every child of God has access to His peace, joy and limitless hope. One day soon that which we hope for will be realized by the appearance of Christ in the clouds of heaven. The joy of that day will be the fulfillment of all of His great and precious promises to those who love Him and the completion of the journey of the righteous to become like Him. "We have this hope that burns within our hearts; hope in the coming of the Lord." Wayne Hooper A surrendered heart is the prerequisite that ensures that we will be prepared for His coming; each day must be a day of surrender to Him and trust in His promises.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
