Revelation 7:17
The scripture for today is Revelation 7:17
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
After the 144,000 are sealed, the apostle John saw a tremendous scene. “After this, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” Revelation 7:9 “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, these are they who came out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Revelation 7:13-14 These are the people of God from all past generations who have emerged victorious through the trials of life. “The battle is against sin; righteousness is the victory; Christ’s righteousness has won the victory; and upon accepting His righteousness sinners become both righteous and victorious.” The SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, p. 785
They are clean, because the blood of the Lamb has made them clean. They are victorious because the Lamb is their victory; they are identified with the Lamb, they have become one with Him. They will never again concern themselves with pain and suffering. They have fought their last battle with the flesh, they have experienced their last insult, they have felt their last sorrow. The Lamb, who is the Shepherd, “shall communicate to them everything calculated to secure, continue, and increase their happiness.” Adam Clarke He will “remove all sorrows, and fill them with perfect joy forever.” Family Bible Notes
We have forever with our Savior, in His everlasting kingdom, to look forward to. That number which was seen by the apostle will include all of those who endure to the end. “And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Mark 13:13 By God's grace may we stand and endure unto the end.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
