October 17
Happy Wednesday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Revelation 21:4

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

The life that we are living here is a journey. As with any journey, the destination is the final stop.  And while the journey itself might be eventful, it is the destination that is most desired. Our destination is a most glorious place. It is simply indescribable in human terms and beyond our ability to fully appreciate. It is our blessed hope that we will soon reach our destination that motivates us along the narrow path that leads us there. The hardships along the way are nothing compared to the great rewards that await those who persevere on the narrow way. Whatever we face today cannot be compared to the joys that await us. Our eyes are fixed upon the Savior; we do not focus on the pressing wind and waves of life, but rather we embrace the promises that He has given to us. By faith we reach out and take hold of those promises and, because we trust in Him, we are changed. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature" 2 Peter 1:4

As we cling to the promises of God our eyes are no longer on the things of this world, but rather on the Giver of the promises. "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Romans 8:32  We choose to not be troubled over the things of this life, but to keep our eyes on the One who controls destinies and who promises "exceedingly great rewards." One day soon everything that causes grief today will not exist. Death itself will be destroyed and will never exist again. That is a promise from One who cannot lie and never fails.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
