The scripture for today is Psalms 75:1

Psalms 75:1 Unto you, O God, do we give thanks, unto you do we give thanks: for that your name is near, your wondrous works declare.

God has expressed Himself through His creation and those who appreciate the God of creation can see His hand in all that He created. The depth of His creativity and power is undeniable, from the tiniest micro-organisms to the vastness of outer space with numberless worlds beyond our ability to ascertain. The complexity of the created things speaks to the omniscience, omnipotent, and omnipresence of the Creator.

We do not have the ability to fully understand, nor do we have the ability to replicate the life force that God has given. We accept Him at His word for His word provides the only explanation of the glory of His power. His word tells us that God is love and it is out of His love imperative that He makes all decisions. It is through His love that all of His actions are carried out. When we embrace His creation, we are embracing His love.

Satan, the enemy of God, goes to great lengths to pervert the works of God and relegate those works to anything but God Himself. Consequently, many who claim to embrace “nature” do so while trying to explain away the Creator. They want to embrace the works of God while rejecting the character and very existence of God who does those works. They want to take God’s “things” without accepting the God who made those things.

But those who love God, and are grateful to Him for His love and creation, humbly bow their hearts continuously before Him. They recognize that an awesome God, whose power is beyond the comprehension of man, has displayed His matchless power and intelligence for all to behold. And, by beholding what He created, we behold something of God Himself. Our response is written in our text today; “Unto you, O God, do we give thanks, unto you do we give thanks: for that your name (name denotes character) is near, your wondrous works declare.”

God bless you as you continue in His service.
