Psalms 37_34

Happy Sunday Everyone,
The scripture for today is Psalms 37:34
Psalms 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
"Keep His way" is another way of saying 'live in obedience to all of the commands of God.' Walking in obedience and waiting on the Lord cannot be separated. Walking in obedience and faith cannot be separated. Walking in obedience and love cannot be separated. Unfortunately, for most Christians today, obedience is almost a dirty word. But the fact is that no spiritual truth or promise from God can be separated from obedience to God. We don't walk in obedience to God in order to become saved, because salvation is not by our works; we walk in obedience to God because we have been saved, not by our works, but by His grace. He gives us His overcoming grace which enables us to live a life of obedience to His word. We wait on the Lord and keep His way, fully assured that His promises to us will be realized just when we need them most.
