December 12
Happy Wednesday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Psalms 103:1

Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

The psalmist pronounces one of the deepest exclamations of praise and reverence that a human can present. To daily ascend the mountain of praise is the privilege of the redeemed. "My soul" is a reference not to a separate compartment of the person, but to the person himself, to his very life and being. He is calling on his very life and person to bless the Lord. He calls on "all that is within me" so as to leave nothing out of this blessing to God.

This is the essence of Godly devotion, praise and worship. It is not something that comes from the outside; it comes from deep within. What the psalmist is showing us, and what the Lord delights in, are the expressions that flow from the depths of our beings and connects with a Holy God in reverence and worship that often goes beyond words. "Unto you, O LORD, do I lift up my soul." Psalms 25:1

His very name is holy. We approach Him in holy reverence, not with the exhibition of the flesh or worldly influence. He is a holy God and we are the holy people of a holy God. "Bless His holy name."

God bless you as you continue in His service.
Tim
