The scripture for today is Proverbs 3:6

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

It is critical for us, in every decision we make, to be dependent upon the Lord's direction. The enemy of our soul works diligently to distract us from reliance upon Christ, enticing us to rely upon our own experiences and limited understanding. It is not our knowledge or inclinations that should lead us. It is only through Christ within us that the sure path can be seen. When we have the presence of the Holy Spirit within, we have all that we need to accomplish what God intends for each day of our lives. "Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established." Proverbs 16:3 To acknowledge Him is not simply to agree that He is there; to acknowledge God is to be subject to God. Only when we are subject to Him can He direct us. He then tells us, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye." Psalms 32:8

"Begin, continue, and end every work, purpose, and device, with God. Earnestly pray for His direction at the commencement; look for His continual support in the progress; and so begin and continue that all may terminate in His glory: and then it will certainly be to thy good; for we never honor God, without serving ourselves." Adam Clarke "They who feel their need of God's protection and guidance, and humbly commit themselves to him in the way of duty, shall not be left to perplexity or error. He will mark out their path for them, and make them truly prosperous and useful." Family Bible Notes God has a plan for our lives and His plans for us are far better than anything that we can do ourselves. Let us acknowledge Him and seek His direction, today and every day of our lives.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
