November 23
Happy Friday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Matthew 6:25-26

Matthew 6:25-26 Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?

The source of our supply is not our jobs or bank accounts; the source of our supply is God. Once we by faith are assured of that fact, anxiety goes away. We will have discovered that our life is not in the things we have; what we eat or wear; our life is in God. We are much more precious to Him than the birds of the air, and He meets their needs continually.

Jesus gives us some most important insight, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 God has always provided for His people and His provision will not diminish with us. Everything we will ever need is already prepared for us by God in Christ Jesus. In Him nothing is missing, nothing is lacking. "Now He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for eating, may He supply and multiply your seed, and increase the fruits of your righteousness." 2 Corinthians 9:10 God will not only "supply" all that we need, He will "multiply" and "increase" His provisions for our lives, both spiritually and naturally. What a wonderful heavenly Father we have and what a wonderful Lord and Savior who has ensured that not only are we cleansed from sin through His blood but that all of our needs are met as we seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness. It is not just a matter of establishing priorities, it is a matter of surrendering to the life of Christ that is within us.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
