The scripture for today is Matthew 6:34

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow: for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Jesus clarifies in the verses preceding our text for today that God is our source. He is not only the source for us, He also provides for the needs of all living things. Man, at the pinnacle of the things that God created on earth, will certainly be the recipient of God's provisions.

"Therefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, How shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.  But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:30-33

This is not a suggestion. Jesus commands us (for our own good) not to worry about tomorrow. That is, do not be anxious about what is going to happen in the future. Do not be anxious about your needs; God is our provider.

Worrying about tomorrow is one of the most useless things we can do. It not only produces no results, but it also harms our emotional and physical well-being. God alone controls the future and the best position for His children is to put all of their trust in Him. When God is our pursuit, we seek the same objective daily, His kingdom, and His righteousness. Each day presents its own trials and we face them with belief and trust in our heavenly Father.

"He who neglects the present for the future is acting opposite to the order of God, his own interest, and to every dictate of sound wisdom. Let us live for eternity, and we shall secure all that is valuable in time." Adam Clarke

God bless you as you continue in His service.
