The scripture for today is Mark 4:25

Mark 4:25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

To the one who values and esteems the Word of God, embraces it, and applies it to the entirety of their lives, more revelation is given. They are the ones who grow spiritually, who prosper, who are used to meet the needs of others. They increase more and more in the knowledge of the Lord and great grace is upon them.

But the one who neglects the riches of truth and does not apply the principles of godliness to their lives, even what they have is taken away from them. The Word not applied is the Word denied. Those who through their actions deny the Word of God, even though it might be in their minds, will lose what they have heard.

The principle of spiritual growth is this: The Word of God when properly applied has the power in itself to multiply and grow in the heart. Those who love it will be nourished by it; those who neglect it will perish from spiritual starvation.

No one needs to starve for lack of application of the Word. Jesus said: “Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:24-27

Divine knowledge, rightly acted upon, stimulates spiritual growth and prosperity. Christ is the source of it and obedience is the response to it. May God’s people, His elect, hear His Word and do it, and may Christ be glorified in the hearts and lives of those who follow Him in obedience.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
