John 3:20-21
The scripture for today is John 3:20-21
John 3:20-21 For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are worked in God.
God is light and truth; those who are His through redemption seek to walk in His light. By contrast, those who embrace evil will avoid the exposing rays of the light of God. “For everyone that does evil hates the light.” It is not just simple avoidance; it is hatred for truth. Hatred for truth is in the heart reveals that the evil one controls the person. Such a person is incarcerated in the dungeon of evil; darkness is their constant companion. Satan has so polluted their lives that they would rather stay among the works of darkness than come to the freedom of truth. Evil loves to hide, while truth is unafraid of exposure. Truth does not enlist the darkness of deception; it openly embraces the freedom that light brings. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 His light is offensive and hated by those who would rather remain unexposed as the agents of darkness that they are. “This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5
“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 We are continuously cleansed by the blood of Christ as we walk in the light of God. Through His word which is expressed in our lives, His light shines for all to see and the fellowship that we enjoy with one another is not in the flesh but in the light of His Spirit.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
