The scripture for today is Jeremiah 32:19

Jeremiah 32:19 You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Proverbs 15:3 The judgment of God holds promise for those who have embraced His righteousness and who live their lives in loving submission to His Holy Word and Holy Spirit. It is important to note that Jesus said, “Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out demons? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23

The word iniquity is also translated “lawlessness.” Here we find a group of people who obviously think they know the Lord, they think they are doing His work of ministry, when in fact they are following their own inclinations and not doing the will of God at all. They are people who have never truly surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ at all; they are lawless people, following the vanity of their own imaginations rather than the commandments of God. The only issue that will matter in that day will be, “Did you die with Christ; is His life manifested in you; have you faithfully done the will of the Father?”

A person told me recently that, “You can be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good.” My response to that statement was, “The only people who are any earthly good are those who ARE heavenly minded.” We are not of this world; our citizenship is in heaven. This world is passing away and all of the works that are in it will be burned up. The only good that we can do here on earth is to allow the Spirit of God to lead us, doing the things that please Him, laying down our lives so that others can see the light of Christ and be drawn from eternal death to eternal life. Many live their entire lives in religious deception, thinking that they are on their way to heaven. It will be a sad day when they hear the words of Jesus spoken in Matthew 7:22-23.

We have a charge to keep, and a God to glorify. Let us dedicate ourselves to fulfilling the great commission of Christ, led by His Spirit and bringing souls to Christ, the only source of salvation. May we hear His say in that day, “well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23

God bless you as you continue in His service.
