November 3

Happy Sabbath Everyone,

The scripture for today is Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The Bible is full of wonderful promises. Today's text is another one of them. Notice that the verse begins with "Fear thou not."  "Fear not" is a saying that is repeated throughout the Bible. It is actually a command from God. Fear is the enemy of faith, which is "belief and trust." Those who accept fear are in essence rejecting the promises of God. God gave His promises to us because He loves us. His love for us is so powerful that as we embrace and cling to it, it drives fear out of our lives. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear" 1 John 4:18

The promises of God are sure and they do not change with circumstances. And "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31  How can we have fear if we really believe that almighty God is with us? His presence with us is assured as we surrender our lives to Him. The more we surrender, the more of the power of God we are enabled to receive. Through faith in His Word we know with certainty that He is our God, and that He will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us.

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Isaiah 54:17

God bless you as you continue in His service.
