The scripture for today is Isaiah 26:3

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.

God gives us a wonderful promise in our scripture for today and, like most of His promises, it is conditional.  Peace is promised to those who remain in a continual love relationship with God (mind stayed on Him) and who also put their faith completely in God (trusts in Him). When the conditions are met, the promise is ours. Jesus is the prince of peace. Can you imagine Christ being fretful over anything? No; He had peace in His heart from the beginning of His journey here until the end.

The experience of peace while here on earth is just a prelude to what God has prepared for those who love Him. "Perfect peace will be the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of God and it may be the happy experience of God’s children here. Perfect submission to the will of God brings the blessing of perfect serenity. The mature Christian is at peace with God, with himself, and with the world about him...Trouble and turmoil may surround us, yet we enjoy a calmness and peace of mind of which the world knows nothing. This inward peace is reflected in a cheerful countenance, an unruffled temper, and a vigorous, glowing experience that stimulates all with whom we come in contact. The peace of the Christian depends not upon peaceful conditions in the world about him but upon the indwelling of the Spirit of God in his heart." SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 4  God makes us an offer that no one should refuse, “perfect peace.” His peace is much better than the world’s grief. Let our trust be in Him today; let Him keep us in perfect peace.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
