Isaiah 14:3
The scripture for today is Isaiah 14:3
Isaiah 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear, and from the hard bondage in which you were made to serve.
God promised His people deliverance from captivity in Babylon. He allowed the experience of suffering, which was the result of sin, but He brought His people out of captivity. The captivity was the result of their own rejection of God and His law. They choose rebellion instead of obedience and reaped the results of their sin. Sin is always a destroyer, and Satan, who is the author of sin, is always behind the destruction. Fortunately for the children of Israel, and for us living in these last days, God always delivers; He will never turn us away if we come to Him.
His love for us is not because of what we have done or earned; He loves us because of who He is. God is love and throughout the ages He had demonstrated time and again the depth of His love for His people. He is continuously reaching out to us but we have the right to choose. When we choose to reject sin and receive His love, His love restores us to righteousness, or right standing with God. He then treats us as if we never sinned in the first place. That is the tremendous love of God for us.
No matter what we are going through, even if we are dealing with the consequences of our own bad choices, God will save the one who comes to Him in repentance, turning from evil to righteousness. He has done it before and He will do it again, every time.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
