The scripture for today is Ezekiel 34:26

Ezekiel 34:26 I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing, and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.

The hill of the Lord refers to His dwelling place. “But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths…” Micah 4:1-2

Jesus became the manifestation of all that God provides for His people. He is the head of the church, the dwelling place of His Holy Spirit. In the last days, God has His church on earth as His dwelling place and to be the instrument through which His blessings flow to the world. His church is the repository of His Spirit, His love, His power. The promises that were made to Israel in the Old Testament, are to be fulfilled through His church today who is the “Israel of God.” Galatians 6:16

In order for us to receive and share these blessings, we must be surrendered to Him ourselves. The Holy Spirit is given to “them that obey Him.” Acts 5:32 Those who obey Him will live and love as Christ lived and loved. “Our influence upon others depends not so much upon what we say as upon what we are. Men may combat and defy our logic, they may resist our appeals; but a life of disinterested love is an argument they cannot gainsay. A consistent life, characterized by the meekness of Christ, is a power in the world.” Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p.142

By His grace we will be the blessing that God has designed us to be; boldly sharing His divine love to a sinful world that so desperately needs Him.
