Deuteronomy 10:21
he scripture for today is Deuteronomy 10:21
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.
In Deuteronomy 10, Moses reminds God's people of the special relationship with God that they are privileged to have. He reminds them that He gave them His holy law and delivered them to be His own special people.
“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command you this day for your good?” Deuteronomy 10:12-13
God has always had a special people on the earth. Throughout history, a people have always existed who loved God and lived their lives according to His word. His church today is such a people, proclaiming the message of love, faith, and obedience to our heavenly Father. He maintains that special bond with His people and today that bond is stronger than ever because of the victorious life and sacrifice of Christ Jesus our Lord.
“He is thy praise - It is an eternal honor to any soul to be in the friendship of God. Why are people ashamed of being thought religious? Because they know nothing of religion. He who knows his Maker may glory in his God, for without him what has any soul but disgrace, pain, shame, and perdition? How strange is it that those who fear God should be ashamed to own it, while sinners boldly proclaim their relationship to Satan!” Adam Clarke
Yes, He is still our praise today, and may we, His own special people, stand in the face of opposition and proclaim our love and unwavering commitment to our God.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
